Generic ChatGPT forgets you between messages. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Gym Plus and your assistant sees every set you have actually logged — then writes plans from a NASM-bylined exercise library straight into your account. Gym Plus stays your tracker; the chat becomes the coach.

Connect with Claude

  1. Open Claude → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Works on every plan, including Free.
  2. Paste the connection URL: https://gym.plus/api/mcp. Leave Client ID/Secret blank.
  3. Sign in to Gym Plus and approve the consent screen.
  4. Ask Claude: "Build me a 3-day push/pull/legs plan and add it to Gym Plus."

Connect with ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode (Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise — not available on Free).
  2. Click Create app and paste the server URL: https://gym.plus/api/mcp. Leave the OAuth client fields blank.
  3. Sign in to Gym Plus and approve access.
  4. In a chat, pick your app from the composer's ➕ menu under Developer mode.
  5. Ask: "What did my last week of training look like?" — ChatGPT reads your real logged sessions.

What your assistant can do

  • ✅ Read your logged workouts, personal records and plans
  • ✅ Create, update and trash workout plans on your account
  • 🚫 It cannot permanently delete data, change your account, or read your email

Manage and disconnect assistants any time in Settings → AI Coach.
